About Us

I acquired my first beagle in 1975, from a lovely breeder in western Sydney, Mrs Dottie Bridger. She was passionate about her beagles and was breeding and showing them way into her eighties. Like most, I then acquired another, then another and finally my first successful show beagle Ch Hounbank Keble.
He is the dog I blame for my addiction to showing and breeding. Keble was a delight to show, loved the ring and all the fanfare associated with it and as a result had many In Show and Group Awards at both Specialities and All Breeds Shows.

I was fortunate to acquire my foundation bitches from two kennels who had been extremely successful over many years. Firstly, from Don and Bev James at Donlee Beagles, Ch Donlee Antic came to live at Kebolee, and secondly, Ch Clarion Candle Light from the well known Perth breeders Cyril and Truda Mawby. Blending these two lines has given me the structure and shape I have on my beagles today, and I am grateful to both Donlee and Clarion for giving me the start.

I do endeavour when contemplating a litter, to do as much research as possible on the stud dogs available, selecting one which I feel will best complement my girls to breed a merry little companion which I believe is true to the beagle breed standard.

The Fauves are only very recent in my yard.  I have been boarding Neil Weeks' fauves from Xkaliba Kennels for quite some time now and just fell in love with the breed. Neil imported the first Fauves into Australia from England several years ago and their numbers are gradually increasing. Being a small French hunting hound with an extremely happy and cheerful disposition they fit in well with the beagles. Neil was kind enough to let me have a bitch, Xkaliba Rosa Bonheur and I am most grateful for his trust. My little Rosie really enjoys getting out and about and socializing with one and all and hopefully will one day produce champion show stock which will be a credit to the breed..
